1. Sims 2 (nds) 2009-04-06 (Guest - Register) Jade Okay. Everyone who is confused about the metal detector. Stop panicking. You get the oppurtunity to buy it when Frankie Fusilli asks you to bury a chest. After that go to the store and buy it. Then if you want to charge it, you do NOT need to get it out of your inventory. You just walk up to the place where you put your fuel rods in the basement and click the option "Charge Detector" If you have a red ring around the detector and the hand option is inaccessible then you need to charge it.
