go to the room where you fight those 3 Magician bastards and examine the shiny thing on the floor
4 ghosts appear with 4 numbers
you have to figure out which 3 of the 4 numbers are the combination and there's a way
when u put in the 3 numbers, if it says "# of tries left" it means the #'s are in the incorrect order
but if you change one of the numbers and says "..." it means you got the one that you changed right. so from there, you need to figure out the other 2 so change the one that is right(but remember it) and change the one until you get "..." once more. now that you figured out 2 of them, the last one should be easy and u'll get the item! you can get about 5 items in that chest, but each one gives you a certain number of tries.
1st time is 10 tries
2nd time is 8
3rd time is 6
4th time is 4
5th time is 2
after gettin it the 5th time, the rest is just 100g :P
