Sporting more heavy weaponry than a bumper Christmas edition of Guns & Ammo, Gungrave is the ultimate old-school run and gun actioner, all dressed-up in gorgeous cel-shaded manga-esque graphics for good measure.

Playing as undead assassin 'Grave' (the clue's in the title) your challenge is to get through an assortment of levels by blasting the hell out of anything that gets in your way. Simple as that. And of course, to do this, you're going to need guns. Lots and lots of lovely guns. For reasons never really fully explained, Grave travels around with a large coffin lashed to his back (presumably because backpacks are at a premium in the underworld), containing enough artillery to decimate an army. This casket also has the nifty dual-purpose of acting as a weapon in its own right, which can be used to swing into the face of any takers.
