If you wanT TO GIVE 1 OR MORE PEOPLE IN YOUR SIM FAMILY AUTOMATIC SKILLS (COOKING, MECHANICAL, ETC.) THEN MAKE A SIM FAMILY WITH 1 OR MORE KIDS. THE KID AUTOMATICALLY STARTS OFF WITH SOME SKILLS. THEN EVICT THE FAMILLY AND EDIT THEM. CHANGE THE KID TO AN ADULT. THEN MOVE THE FAMILY BACK INTO THE HOUSE, AND THE ADULT WILL HAVE THE SKILLS THAT THE KID HAD (AND CAN STILL ADD ON TO THEM.)

When you need him to repair some more, turn the TV off, and he will go around again.
