Hi, i'm playing the PS2 version of this game and I got to the first boss but I can't kill him. I can't get up on the platform he's standing on and nothing I throw at him hurts him. Does anyone know how I might be able to defeat him?

when you come down into the mine, i can set free the 2 guys, then u have to use the mine carts to explode your way through which i can do but i then get stuck as i dont know how to finish the last part of returnin to surface /gettin out of mine? please does anyone know?? many thanks x

PS: Don't let one person travel too far, otherwise another will get stuck.

There are two Sword upgrades in the game which will improve the strength of the attacks. These can be found at the following levels.

Formosa - Temple Of Terror:
In the second area of the level look on the left side of the narrow hallway where the enemies burst through the paper walls for the treasure chest.

Rum Island - Sand, Sky, Rum and Gold:
When the man-eating plants appear go to the right of the area where the plants first attack and find a small alcove blocked by vines which if you cut away will reveal the treasure chest.

On Temple Terror in the narrow corridor where enemies jump through the paper wall, there is a treasure chest to the left. Open it and a video will start to tell you you have upgraded your sword power to double strength!
