Batting clean-up in the 2001 season of PlayStation baseball games is 989's own heavy-hitter. The MLB series led off the first full-fledged rookie season for PlayStation baseball games with MLB Pennant Race (now there's a cool bit of memorabilia if you still have it), eventually becoming one of the first polygonal console hardball games.
