I dont get how you can defeat the tree boss guy in the lifa tree...its confusing..

Trance Kuja battle strategy (from ffonline.com)

For these next battles, it really helps if you are maxed out on Hi Potions. Get rid of all your normal Potions, if you haven't already. They will have no use. Whatever four characters you bring into this battle, you will have the upper hand on Kuja if you bring them in equipped with Auto-Life, Auto-Regen, Auto-Reflect, Auto-Potion, and High Tide. If you have to choose between them, leave out Auto-Reflect. It's nice, but not totally necessary.

As for characters, go with the ones that you feel best fit your style of play. However, a few general strategies for the use of characters are recommended. Zidane can serve a double purpose in this battle, attacking when needed (Thievery comes in useful here), and if necessary, using a turn to use an Elixir or Phoenix Down. If you bring Dagger, try to equip her with the Concentrate ability, as she will be able to probably bring the whole party up to full strength with one Cure 3. If you have Auto-Reflect, equip Vivi with Reflect x2 and cast Flare on one of your party members; if not, just have him Focus and cast it normally. If Steiner has the Ragnarok, he should use Shock every turn. Amarant's Aura and Spare Change abilities can be very useful. If you have Freya, using a maxed out Dragon Crest can deal an enormous amount of damage. Eiko should always be ready to cast a Full-Life or Phoenix in case someone does get killed, and Quina should be using the strongest Blue Magic that s/he has, and can also heal with White Wind if need be. Use Trance skills like Grand Lethal as they become available.

Anyway, just take your characters into battle fully prepared. Start hitting him with your best attacks, making sure to keep your party's HP at maximum as much as possible. Kuja has several attacks that he can use on your party, including Flare, Holy, and Flare Star, and can also cast Reflect on himself and heal with Cure 3. His attacks will become more frequent as the fight progresses, and near the end he will be attacking you after every move you make.

to find chocobo's paradise, its located at the top left hand side of the map. but of course you need dead pepper to dig the crack and the ability fly for chocobo.

How to get Freya to do 9999 pts of damage with her Dragon Crest attack. First you must either get the holy lance or Kains Lance and fight about 60 grand dragons or any kind of dragons and eventually you will do 9999 pts of damage warning be patient this takes a while this works ive tried it

when i was in the lifa tree... i couldnt kill that boss at the end... never use any fire attack or the tree will send suer fire attacks back... (not sure but people say if you give the boss a potion it will die because its undead...

defeat necron:
have zidane, steiner, dagger and eiko in your party. their levels must be 70 or higher. my zidane was at level 70, steiner in 70, dagger in 68 and eiko in 52. equip zidane w/ the ultima weapon, steiner w/ excalibur(preferably ragnarok or excalibur 2), eiko w/ the angel's flute and the mage's hat and maiden's prayer is also important to raise your holy attack. equip the armors with high/best defense. equip the insomniac, clear headed, locomotion high tide, body temp, antibody,(and all other anti bad status effects that i haven't mention 'cause i quite forgot some of it ~_~), hp+20% and devil killer support abilities for steiner and zidane. equip the guardian mog, insomniac, clear headed, body temp, and all other anti bad status effects that i haven't mention), mp+10% and concentrate support abilities for eiko and dagger. in the battle, use zidane to help dagger cure the party members. have zidane use eye drops, echo screen, remedy, magic tag and annoytment for your party(specially when necron attacks w/ grand cross), for dagger, just keep using curaga and dont summon!! for eiko, use holy for your first attack and the damage will be more or less 9999 and in the later attacks w/ holy the damage will be a bit lesser. just have steiner attack with climhazzard or shock. if zidane is in trance mode just keep using solution 9. if necron uses shell or protect, just have eiko or dagger(preferably eiko) use dispel. you will beat him in 15-30 mins. i beat him in 20 mins.

beating hades:
NOTE:READ BEFORE HAVING A BATTLE W/ HADES!!!!!

have zidane,dagger,eiko and steiner in your party. my zidane was in level 63, dagger in 62, steiner in 63 and eiko in only 41.i equipped zidane w/ only orichalon but i prefer the tower or the ultima weapon,dagger with wizard rod(preferably tiger racket),steiner with ultima sword and eiko w/ the angel flute. put zidane in near the trance mode. if zidane is not yet in the trance mode, just keep stealing from hades so that u can get some good items, and when zidane is in trance, just keep using solution 9 and it will do for 9999 damage, have steiner use stock break and it will do for about 6000-7500 damage, eiko use holy and it will do for about 7500 damage(don't use holy if he casts reflect on himself, instead just cure the bad status effects on your party members by using remedy, dispel or esuna) and have dagger cast curaga every turn(DON'T SUMMON!!).when hades casts doomsday in your party just have eiko and dagger use curaga in the same round. finish the game as quickly as possible so he cant cast doomsday in your party. you can beat him in 5-10 minutes w/ this strategy. i finished the game in 5-7 minutes and he didn't attack me w/ doomsday. just equip your party w/ something that absorb shadow attacks in case he casts doomsday on your party. in case anyone wants to ask me something about final fantasy 9(like how to beat some tough bosses like trance kuja, the 4 chaos guardians or necron for example , etc.,) just e-mail me at flarestar_orange0709@yahoo.com

After you've gotten all the chocographs from the chocobo forest and lagoon and find the treasures, you'll be able to fly, cross oceans, and climb mountains on Choco. At this point, you should find the chcocobo air garden. Look for the large black shadow floating around the world, then while choco is flying above it, feed him a dead pepper to soar into chocobo air garden.
