in tomb raider:chronicles how do you know when you are facing north? or for that matter any direction?

Level Skip:
Go to the inventory and then to load game press and hold L + I + F + T.
All Weapons:
Go to the inventory then to the large medipak press and hold C + T + R + L.
All Items:
Go to the inventory then to the small medipak press and hold A + L + T + G + R.
God Mode:
Go to the invetory then to the flares press and hold F + I + R + E.
For the cheats to work you must be facing ABSOULTE NORTH!
All hidden options
At the main menu, quickly type ALLHIDDENOPTIONS without the caps to automatically access all of the hidden options in the options menu.

I agree with the person above me. In other games, Lara has a compass which grows tranparent when she's facing absolute north, but not in this one. How do you know when she's facing north then?
