=Introduction=

Since most people either don't remember or have never even played the
unofficial Street Fighter sequel, I decided to make this section with some
descriptions of the different characters and their stages.

HKM was the unofficial sequel to Capcom's SF1, released by Go!/US Gold in
Mar 1989. It was out on the 8 and 16-bit computers of the day, and used
exactly the same 2D game engine as the home versions of SF, which was
converted by Tiertex (the company responsible for Strider and 720).
Gameplay wise, there was one attack button, with faster presses giving
more powerful moves.

There was no block command, only "lean away". There were no throws,
fireballs or other special moves. Combos were therefore more or less
impossible beyond 2 or 3 hits. There is a brick-breaking bonus round half
way through, but ultimately the background graphics were the only good
point about this game...

The enemy's energy bar slowly recharged if they weren't attacked for a
while. Furthermore, Continues were limited, so some people didn't even get
to see the short static end sequence.

You could use a joystick or keys, with the following directions:

Regardless of if you are crouching, standing or airborne:

back + attack gives a spin kick
neutral + attack gives a punch
forward + attack gives a straight kick

=Characters=
============

Kwon is the only playable character. :( He looks a little bit like
Dee Jay the kickboxer from Super SF2!
He must travel the globe testing his skills against other combatants
(two per country), with the ultimate goal of beating them all and
becoming the world champion.

Battles are played one-on-one, in a "best of 3" knockdowns format.

Here are the other (CPU) characters by stage.

MOSCOW (Russia):
Igor - Big guy that uses a rifle
Shepski - Rabid dog that is low to the ground and bites

AMSTERDAM (Netherlands):
Maria - wears a bikini and uses lots of kicks
Helga - wears a dress and boots and gets you with a cornertrap

BARCELONA (Spain):
Miguel - has a big stick
Brutus - the bull is best attacked with punches

GERMANY (Europe):
Hans - blonde, is tackled low
Franz - wears a suit and throws bottles

BEIRUT (Lebanon, Middle East):
Sagan - wears a thobe/kaffiyeh and is tackled with sweeps
Merkeva - bare-chested and has large boots

Hold down G and O and then press X whilst playing to advance a level.
