Except when I hit the ~ buton and enter the cheats...NOTHING HAPPENS!! I have been to 4 or 5 sites and all give the same cheat codes which do not WORK!!! wHAT THE hELL?

Will someone please tell me how to get the Little bird to fly at the end of the single player mission, "shattered palace?" I've been all over the city, killed everyone I can find, but every time I board the little bird it just sits there.
