Game Details

This multiplayer-focused expansion pack gives you more of what you demand from the original Battlefield 1942, including more maps, more vehicles, and more fighting forces.

The Road to Rome focuses exclusively on the key Italian and Sicilian campaigns of WWII. Each map comes with highly detailed environments such as Italian houses, Mediterranean trees, and even the Monte Cassino Monastery. This expansion pack features eight new vehicles. These include the German BF-110 and British Mosquito twin-engine fighter-bombers as well as new Italian, British, and German tanks and anti-tank guns.

The Road to Rome supports up to 64 gamers (on select maps), playing as several infantry classes, controlling many weapons available to the Axis and Allies, and commanding numerous land vehicles, ships, and aircraft.

Choose the Sniper Class. Then, find a good spot to pick out enemy's (hill, mountain, bunker/pillbox, etc.) Then find targets and aim at them. Wait for a few seconds for the scope to steady (That would be the person's that your playing's breathing. Wait till he holds his breath). Then, if you have to, move slowly (try to aim for his head). If still staying still (scope), shoot. Try taking out snipers, anti-tank soldiers and machine guners first. Then look for medics. These soldiers will do the most damege to your troops and vehicles. Iwo Jima is probably the best place. And prone is the best position. They can't hit you as easily and it's more steady. And watch your back. Try to get your back agianst a wall. I got over 85% the first time I tryied this. And then, I got nearly 100%! Remember, bunkers/pillboxes are good. They can't hit what they can't see (Other then airplanes tropping bombs on you not knowing your there maybe, but not likly going to happen).

Battlefield 1942: The Road to Rome

SECRETS

Intro Skipping
If you right click on your Battlefield 1942: Road to Rome icon and then click on properties. You will see the `Shortcut` tab. In the `Shortcut` tab you will see either "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe" or "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe +game XPack1" under 'Target'.

Under 'Target' add the following:

'+restart 1' after BF1942.exe (leave out quotes) to the target.
(remember to leave a space between restart and 1)

It would now say something similiar to this:

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\BF1942\BF1942.exe" +restart 1

or

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 1942\BF1942.exe +game XPack1 +restart 1"

Upon starting the game you be taken to the profile selection screen.
