Sound Test Menu
Allows players to access the "Sound Test" option.
Complete all of the Bonus 1 Practice and Bonus 2 Practice rounds with each character to make this option appear on the Data menu.

Item Switch Menu
Allows players to access the "Item Switch" option in the Vs. mode. Players can use the option to turn on and off the different items (Pokeball, shell, etc.) that appear in the Vs. mode.
Start 100 matches in the Vs. Mode. Players are not required to finish the matches, but must at least begin the fight.

Mushroom Kingdom Stage
This trick will allow you to play on the hidden "Mushroom Kingdom" stage for VS Mode battles.
Complete the 1P Game for each of the original eight characters and play at least one match on each of the eight VS Mode stages to unlock this hidden stage.

Share Lives
When your last player is lost, press Start to borrow a life from your teammate. The teammate must have at least one extra life for the code to work.

Beat the game on "Very Hard" with Ness with only one life, and ness's face on the character select screen should become dark and have devious eyes(This might work with other characters).
