Another thing, I cannot find the freaking stupid "secret codes" anywhere. I have scoured the Sims website, sims 2 site, google, youtube, and the game handbook and NO WHERE does it even say how or where to obtain the codes for the unlockables.
Go freakin figure?!

Ok, youve probably figured this game evolves around pets. Actually, it involves mostly around you managing a Pet Salon, where you have to identify ailments or issues, and then fix them with grooming.
At first the game is interesting, as it offers about 3 new mini games (plus 1 more as grooming in the salon), and you have to figure out with cures go with which ailments. I found the hardest part was figuring out how to brush. To brush, you have to do two strokes ON the arrow in the direction it is facing, but timing is essential. it cant be too fast or too slow, which is the tricky bit.
Here are the ailments I have encountered and how to fix them:
Piece of cheese = Spray with perfume- this is done by using your Stylus to guide the perfume bottle, and quickly clicking roughly(Left button on top of the DS) 4 times on the circles until you get %100.
Mud puddle= Wash the pet- Simply hold down the top left button and move the stylus over the circles.
Brush= Brush the pet in the afformentioned way.
Picture of fur with dots above it=The pet has fleas- Click on the picture above the perfume, its a spray can, and apply the same way you apply perfume.
Fashion accessories(Eg. Hat, Sun glasses, collar, bow)= Play the Match Up Mini-game- Basically this is like playing 'memory'. Click on various pairs of cards until a picture of the one you need shows up on the top left hand side of the screen. THIS is the one you need, so try and find the same matching pair before time runs out.
Remember that ALL of the above are on a timer, mostly generous except for the brushing one which can take one attempt or two.
Another thing to do is make sure you upgrade your Pet Spa by going into shopping mode and selecting the picture with the key to upgrade over night, also buy new furniture. This increases the number of attmepts youre allowed whilst grooming clients pets.
My Review:
It starts off interesting and challenging...then it all goes down hill. You cant interact with the pets in your appartment other than some petting and decorating them with a hat, all except for the various dogs and cats that will be dumped on you.
You can buy new furniture, but you DONT get to choose where it goes, the game oh-so-kindly does it for you =/ You cant go anywhere except to your spa or your appartment, nor can you have friends over.
Once youve mastered curing ailments, making money is TOO easy, it loses the challeng and thus the interest/entertainment factor.
Its all very limited, VERY VERY repeatetive, the graphics arent that great, and not somethind that will last you long term.
I finished this game in 2 days, and thats not even playing 24/7. If you like RPG/challenging games, this is NOT for you. It would be a waste of $40+
For little kids, yeah maybe. It might be too complex for kids, but way too boring for adults.
