Put a puppy inside your Nintendo DS! In this game choose from Labrador Retriever, Miniature Schnauzer, Toy Poodle, Corgi, Miniature Pinscher or Shiba! Nintendogs lets you pick a puppy from a variety of breeds available at the beginning of the game. As you start spending time with your pup you can throw flying discs and balls to improve the pup's agility. You can bathe it when it gets dirty and use your own personal voice commands to train the dog to do tricks. If you train it well enough, your dog will excel in obedience and agility trials and disc competitions, which will earn money that you can use to buy other supplies and puppy breeds. When you earn enough cash, you can buy even more puppies to live with the original pup. Players can socialize their pups by walking them around the town, where they will meet neighborhoods dogs, and maybe even find new toys. Trips to the park and gym offer valuable training time to prepare for agility trials and disc competitions. Over time, the pup's stamina will increase so players can explore rather and farther. Players can interact wirelessly with their friends' Nintendogs - they can set their DS to bark whenever another puppy is within wireless range.

I would say that the Agility competions are easiest becasue all you need to do is train your dog in the gym for a while. To get a 50 champion winning streak like my dog Cupcake, turn off your D.S in a competion that you think you are going to lose in. It's also a good idea to train small dogs in Agility because small dogs are fast.My Shiba Inu holds my record time of 36.80 seconds in championships. There are no achtual "cheats" for competions, just training and hard work.

If you leave your dog in the bath and plug your ds to a charger you can get a ton of trainer points, also your pet will grow every hour you leave it in the bath.
(Of course this is not real hours it's Nintendogs time.)

hey ya i have had this game and to get new things you only need 2000 points for each thing not what it says below i dont get that i have unlocked the geman shepard and desk top and i needed only 4000 for both so dont believe this what it says

Give any dog a bath,then immediantly brush it. Don't move the brush at all. After about 8 hours you will earn around 700 trainer points.
