Is there a way to unlock Shadow?

Unlimited Lives
This mey not be the only way to do this but it is the easiest.
to obtain unlimited lives, play both mini-games in the first level and complete both as quick as possible. If done quick enough, you should get 5 extra lives for each completed mini-game. This will give you unlimited lives.
Alternate Cheat - Go through the act/level you think is esiest and collect as many lives as you can. When the life count reaches 9, it will not drop when you die.
