Here are the moves I suggest:
Tyranitar: Earthquake, rock slide, crunch, thunderbolt (you don't have to have thunderbolt)

Mantine: Ice beam, surf, earthquake, aerial ace

Scizor: Aerial ace, metal claw, then probably a choice of: swords dance, slash, double team, iron defence or even some others. I would suggest swords dance as a good addition to a scizor.

Alakazam: I like thunderpunch, ice punch, fire punch and psychic, but you have to breed for the punches unless you have emerald. Another good selection is: Psychic, Shadow ball, recover, calm mind.

Moltres: Sky attack, flamethrower and a choice of: fire blast, overheat or heat wave and a choice of aerial ace or fly. Another good move if you want is steel wing.

Electabuzz: Thunder, thunderbolt, psychic, iron tail.

The machop guy annoys me too. Ever since yellow version, I've wanted to know if there was something special to do with him. As far as I can tell, it's just a pointless ad-in to make everyone suspect something.

Here's my advice:
Mantine: I think aerial ace is better than wing attack because it's far more reliable and it has the same power. Confuse ray is good, so you can keep that. Although water pulse is good for it's added confusion, I don't think it's really necessary. If you have surf, then you should be right. You have confuse ray for more reliable confusion as well.

Alakazam: You've good a reasonably good moveset there, but I'm not sure about psybeam. Shadow ball works well, so give that a try. As I said earlier, I do like having the three elemental punches and psychic, but you need to breed or have emerald for that.

Rayquaza: I would suggest something like thunderbolt as opposed to extremespeed.

Tyranitar: That's a good moveset. Mine knows the same moves except thunderbolt instead of strength, but if you like strength, I can't see any problem with it.

Houndoom: I would go against the three dark moves. You can add in another fire type move or use something like iron tail possibly.

Ampharos: Thunderbolt is much better than thundershock, so I would definitely say make the switch. While cotton spore can be useful, I would suggest another attacking move different from the electric type. A possibility is iron tail or brick break. Light screen can be useful as well, I have no objection there.

As for the team in general, I think it's well balanced. You've made some good choices there!

I don't think the lax tag exists. It is probably going to be in diamond and pearl though. Also, you can't get munchlax in any of the current games!!

That works, I've tried it before. It's a great way to make a fortune, but it gets a bit tedious. In my new game in leafgreen I got 20, but decided to stop there.
