Pretty sure you cant get the Rings, but i read somewhere that theres exrta blue item content (i heard palintirs, and a bunch of other things like a fletching kit)unlockable by connecting the GBA to the Gamecube while both have their Return of the King games in. Can anyone verify this? Or is this just a mistake or hoax, cause it sounds suspicious to me...

I seem to find a LOT of some blue items, and i have found more than one with one character in a reasonably short amount of time.
LOL "Uruk uruk sword" Nice to know im not the only one who thinks thats funny.
Question: what exactly does defence stat DO? Ive looked and the stats dont really change. Oh, and one correction-The Unknown Amulet of Kempor is a necklace, amulet, whatever. It occupies that slot.

higher % extra treasure makes it come quicker then that but you will get at least 1 blue item every 2500 enemies killed * chieftains have a higher chance of giving blue items*

blue items arn't found by high extra treasure %. they are found based on how many enimies killed, and how much experience u got. (this differs for different characters. my eyowen gats a blue for every 2395 enimies killed, or for every 8495 experience.)admittidly, yes, extra treasure % does help, but ONLY when you are around 5 kills or 100 experiance off findin a blue.

for blue items the best place is helm's deep i got a whole bunch of blue items there. also about narsil that was my first blue item i found it as frodo in easy mode. and cursed item i think makes the eye come quicker when the cerebain fly.

i have not found any blue shoes or shields if anyone has found them please tell me what theya re and where you found them
* i have had these and lost them because my file got erased... 2 times! so i am currently trying to fidn them again and you can get more then 1 of each blue item.
i am now getting at least 1 blue item a day yesterday i got 3! only 1 new one... that was hadhafang.... and about Witch king's daughter you can get it from any orc/goblin. i got it from a stump...
one more tip for blue item hunting use every character even if they do not have extra treasure one thing i found out is i have never gotten 2 blue items in a row with the same hero. i have to switch.

Cheat Codes/Unlockables

Where has everyone found Narsil? It's got to be the ONLY blue item I can't find, and ironically, the one i want the most? I know it should be random, but there COULD be a pattern. Speaking of patterns, anyone notice how butterflies usually are around certain items, like when you break a barrel and hear a noise, theres usually a butterfly around it. Maybe its just a reference to the movies, but its been bugging me..

Hmmm...you haven't gotten Smeagol when you try a new file? You have to 'load file' and then select an empty slot. thats the only way. And as far as i can tell, he can only work on bonus levels... and blue items are really rare. I suggest someone like gimli with a lot of treasure bonuses on Grueling. other difficulties work, but have less a variety of items in general.

increase damge= get a sheild and a 2-hand sword and keep on equiping each start with sheild then equip 2-hand sword and repeat till u have the strong damages u want

Don't get me wrong, Gimli is good. But Legolas is god. Especially when you can shoot two arrows at once with him. All my characters are at level 52, and all of Legolas Attributes are at maximum (150 without all items added). Gimli is good, but i only have his stats (strength and accuracy are full at 161, and his health, strength, and spirit are all at 100). Maybe 50 attribute points makes that big of a difference, but i dont think it does. Legolas is the way to go. Gimli is useful for finding excellent items, especially when equiped with items that add a large % of extra treasure (try getting this number above 250% to find amazing items). But his lack of speed, defense, and health all tend for him to die quickly on grueling in the latter stages of the game.

Just out of curiosity (And a bit off topic), What is everyone's opinions on the best character and their builds? Personally, I think the best character is an Earth Shatter Gimli. At level 20 I was taking out the Mouth of Sauron on Grueling, and ever since :). Detailed comments would help please :D

I dont know. My items with extra treasure are good. Beat the game and do what you can. im out of tips about this subject. i havent seen a blue item in a month or two. Oh well. Use what ive said well. if i find anything monumental, ill be back...

So ive been searching for items with a high % of extra treasure to equip to Gimli. Even if they absolutely suck, which some of the do. But if they have at least 30% extra treasure, their good enough. Of course ive got the Dark Sapphire Brooch or whatever, Vein Crystal maybe, i cant remember. I just know it gives me 90% extra treasure!!! Then my axe, which sucks, and shield give me 35% apiece, and i got some sandals of pirates or something like that, which give me 30%. All this together has improved my rate of red items tremondously! BUT NOT FINDING BLUE ITEMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have not found 1 blue item in so long. I must have to finsih the game or something. Because i just camp out at North Ithilien and go around, then go in the waterfall cave, and do it all over again. NOT ONE, ive been doing this forever, ive killed 32,000 orcs with Gimli, and the ticker for Legolas who has stayed at the black gate was at 65,535 orcs killed a long time ago, and i havent found a blue item. HELP!?!?!??!

My legolas is so good. All his primary stats are full, and he has 75 in the bank. At the shrine they are going for 21,000 now, for 1 primary state for accuracy, strength, etc. He can take on the Nazgul at Amon Sul on grueling with no problem.

I find my best items on Grueling, either Helm's Deep or Moria. Also, some of the later levels on Grueling are good too. SEARCH EVERY AREA EVERYWHERE. I cant say this enough. Good Luck!
