Expanded Hookshot Trick: while firing the Hookshot, Link is impervious to damage. He will also stand completely still until the Hookshot retracts completely, even if the ground beneath him is in motion. This can come in handy several times - especially while the ground is moving back and forth while flitting shadows AND jellyfish AND spikes threaten to drain his health. (In this room, the Hookshot can also kill every enemy.)

The Hookshot can pull Link, undamaged, across spiked floors and through bumpers and enemies alike.

in the tunnels after you first rescue zelda, there is some cracked walls where a bomb could blow them up, however i cannont find a way to get bombs before entering this spot. does anyone know if there is a way to get bombs in the very beginning of the game?
