when you are fighting the sphynx, stomp on any of the panels. a sandstorm will emerge. take out your one handed sword and run towards it. as you're running, press either A or B as if to stab it. if done correctly, you will stay put. if not, you'll just have to do it the normal way. if you stay put, take out your two handed sword to attack the sphynx. you will have more time because you don't have to go through the fire balls. BE WARNED: even if you have mastered this cheat, you won't get it right every time!
