Win all 3 tournaments of the Star Cup.
Unlock Star Cup
Win all 3 tournaments of the Normal Cup.
Unlock Shy Guy (Technique: Tricky)
In tournament mode, win the normal tournament on all 3 courts.
Unlock Paratroopa
Win all 3 normal tournament cups.
Unlock Color Change Yoshi
Win the first cup in normal tournament doubles, and every time Yoshi does his defensive power shot, he'll changes colors.
Unlock Piranha Plant
Win the Fire & Thunder special tournaments, in doubles matches.
Unlock Wiggler (Defense)
Win Normal Flower Cup in doubles.
Unlock Event Games
From the main menu, press B -> 'Press start' screen, then hold Z and press Start or A.
