I am pretty sure that this is a glitch, but it does add a litle "extra" to your game. This glitche changes the color layout of the game.
before the title screen whengmeboy sign apers quikly punch in these codes

mario "metalic": b+right
sepia tone: b+up
orange haze: b+down
black and white: b+left

green haze: a+right
pink haze: a+up
aqua marine haze: a=left
peachy haze: a+down

I wouldn't be surprised if crayola and nintendo worked together :)

on the egypt level when you fight the lion at the end you can jump over the lion when it comes down when your behind him he can't get you then jump on the button to finish the level.

i was wondering how i can find out where the hidden boxes are. I can't seem to find them.

Pressing SELECT in the File Screen switches the diffuculty level to the game. No information is lost. You will know for sure this works because Mario will become small or go from Super Mario to plain old small Mario.
