WARNING! This code is a glitch, proceed at your own risk but it will work.
First off, you need to have not beaten the youngster trainer with a slowpoke facing north on the way to Bill's house. second you need to also not to have beaten the Gambler trainer between Lavender Town and Safferon City, and last you need fly, also be sure you have a pokemon that can safely weaken a Lv.7 . Ok, first you need to go to the Gambler between Laventer Town and Saffron. He will be in front of the underground path, make sure he will be off your screen (and make sure that if you take one step twards him that he will see you) then take one step twards him, THEN quickly press start and fly to Cerulean City. Then go and fight the Youngster with the slowpoke that is faceing north and be sure you beat him. (NOTICE: your start, A and B buttons will not work but later they will) Then go to Lavender Town and start walking twards Saffron. Then your start menu will suddenly pop up and now your buttons will work and use the B button to exit it and you will then go into battle with MEW! NOW CATCH IT!! And now you can celibrate! (But be sure you don't trade it to anouther red, yellow ,or blue the trade it back for doing that will PERMANITLY RUIN YOUR GAME!!!!)( FOREVER!!! Thank you for reeding:)

Hey sorry I haven't answered you, computer problems. Anyway, I'm not sure if you need to do it in the begging but that's when I did it. I'm pretty sure to get the bulbasaur from the girl you need to talk to bill beat the nugget bridge and beat Misty.
