guys,i will also give you a advice on beating the elite 4!here:
lorelei:use eletric pokemon.make sure they are above lv50 because they are all above lv50!but i train my zapdos to lv60.
bruno:use psychic pokemon like alakazam.
agatha:use psychic pokemon like alakazam
lance:for gyarados,use electric,for the rest of the pokemon,use ice pokemon and keep using ice beam
rival:pidgeot:use electric pokemon like zapdos or raichu
alakazam:use your starter pokemon like charizard.
rhydon:use water or grass pokemon.for water,use hydro pump.for grass,use solar beam or razor leaf
arctric[sorry][fire]:use water pokemon.use hydro pump
venusaur:use fire pokemon like moltres.if you caught one in victory road or in mt ember
charizard:use water pokemon and keep using hydro pump or maybe dragon claw.
blastoise:use eletric pokemon or grass pokemon.[eletric is better]use shock wave
exeggutor:use fire pokemon or flying pokemon like charizard or pidgeot
gyrados:use electric pokemon[do not use grasspokemon].

let me give you a advice on beating the gymleader!here:
brock:use water or grass.i use water.if you have a charmander,train it ti lv20
misty:use eletric or grass.i use eletric.if you choose charmeleon,train it to lv35 and keep using flamethrower.it will kill staryu in a hit.for starmie,about 2 hits.
LT Surge:use ground pokemon.catch a ground pokemon at digett's cave and train it to lv24.
erika:use fire pokemon.train it to lv29.
sabrina:maybe a dark pokemon.use attacks like bite.i don't know this one
koga:use psychic pokemon.train it to lv43
blain:use water pokemon.ground type also work.but i use water like slowpoke.train it to lv47
giovvel:use water pokemon and train it to lv50 and use surf or hydro pump.
