when choosing a starter pokemon, remember this with cyndaquil you'll learn strength and cut
with totodile you'll learn strength, surf and i think waterfall and whirlpool
with chickorita you'll learn cut weigh your options i guess. I usually choose totodile as a starter.

Easy level up
To get an easy level up go to Lake of Rage and battle the red gyarados you dont have catch it just battle it. You will get a Red Scale then go to Mr. Pokemons house and he will give you experience share in exchange for Red Scale. Give it to a pokemon and put that one at the first spot. When you go into a battle switch it to another pokemon and kill the enemy. The pokemon with experience share will get half experience and full experience.
This works best at the Elite Four

in pokemon crystal, the cloning thingy will not work at all, it will only work on gold and silver...just remember this that on pokemon crystal version, you have to use your own skills to do those things...so...yeah..
